Farheen Chaudhry is an established Pakistani screenwriter for the last 30 years. Her contributions for Urdu literature are commendable not only as a writer but as a promoter of literature and as founder/ chairperson of Literary Arts and Cultural Syndicate.
She has received national and international fame due to her work. She has represented Pakistan as head delegate on SAARC’s writers, literary, cultural and Sufi conferences for peace numerous times.
She has also served Lok Virsa as Programme Executive and later as Director Productions at Manhattan International Karachi,. She worked for Evernew Concept Islamabad and as Station Head of PUNJAB TV and STAR ASIA.
Her TV serials, telefilms and TV series include: Paani Pe Naam (PTV), Khushboo (PTV), Ishtihaar Lagaana Mana Hai (PTV), Mati ki Guriya (PTV), Ranjish Hee Sahi (ARY), Chand Mera bhi tu Hy (PTV), Yehi Zindagi Hy (PTV), Yehi Eik Pul Hy, (PTV), Eid Aisi Bhi Hoti Hey (ARY), Tum Kia Mily (PTV), Eid Plus Eid (ARY), Burg o Shajer (PTV) and Bay Bay Paani De (PTV).
Her TV serial Paani Pe Naam got her a nomination at Lux Style Awards too.
Her list of books include: Sachay Jhoot (1991), Adha Sach (1999), Sugar Coated (2014), Meetha Sach (2018), Sooraj Pe Dastak (2019) and Mufti Ji Aur Mein (2021).
