Sidra Sahar Imran is a Pakistani screenwriter, novelist and well-known poet. Her most popular TV serial “Jalan” aired on ARY Digital in 2020. She also penned another TV serial Amrit and Maya. Nowadays, she is working on various scripts for different TV channels.
Sidra Sahar Imran made space for herself internationally as a poet with her poetry of stunning metaphors. She published two books of Urdu poetry titled: Hum Gunah Ka Ista’ara Hain (We’re the Metaphors Of Sin) and Moat Ki Rehersal (Death’s Rehearsals). Both her poetry books got huge applauds from literary circles and common people all over the globe. An English translation of her book “Death’s Rehearsals” is recently published in the United States of America. Her book Hum Gunah Ka Ista’ara Hain (We’re the Metaphors Of Sin) has been translated into Hindi, whereas an Urdu edition of her book “Death’s Rehearsals” is being published in India. Her selected poems are being translated into Sindhi, Pashto, Balochi, Seraiki and other languages.
