Syed Zain Raza is a young Pakistani screenwriter based in Halifax, Canada. He graduated with a Bachelor or Arts (Honors) in Film from York University in Toronto, Ontario.
In 2011, Syed Zain Raza started his screenwriting career with a telefilm for ARY Digital and became the youngest screenwriter for Pakistani television at the age of 17. His next project in 2012 was a multi starrer serial Mera Pehla Pyaar for ARY Digital starring veteran actors including Faisal Qureshi, Aijaz Aslam, Nausheen Shah, and Shazia Naz.
Syed Zain Raza has written a number of telefilms, sitcoms, and short films for different production houses and channels with several of his written telefilms nominated for the Best Telefilm award at HUM Awards. Among the nominated telefilms, Tamasha was the winner of the Best Telefilm award in 2016. Currently he is working on a light hearted romantic comedy serial about Indian and Pakistani immigrants living in the United States alongside a couple of projects for an OTT platform.
